PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN

ADMISSION REQUIRMENTS

Prospective students must comply with the following requirements to enroll:

  • Present a Valid picture ID

  • Present a High School diploma, GED, or pass the entrance Wonderlic Ability to Benefit Test (ATB). for Quantitative.

    • The Wonderlic ATB test is administered at the school and has a minimum passing score of 200 for Verbal and 210 for Quantitative evaluations. The student is responsible for the payment of $35 for each Wonderlic ATB test. Students are allowed to retake after a week, for a maximum of 3 times.

  • Electronic Fingerprinting (Background Check Level II) - Students are required to submit an electronic copy of their fingerprints as part of the admission requirements. Cost included with the program price.

  • In order to qualify for enrollment, a one-on-one appointment with one of the school admissions representatives is required. During the one-on-one appointment, the admission representative will provide advisement services to assist the student in planning and completing the occupational education program for enrollment.

  • Documentation from another country must be accompanied by the corresponding translation and evaluation by a Florida-approved agency. Visit the list of approved credential evaluator agencies by the Florida Department of Education.

  • Applicants who are at least 16 but younger than 18 years of age may enroll under parental or legal guardian consent. A parent or legal guardian is required to sign the Enrollment Agreement.

  • Applicants for the Patient Care Technician program must also present a medical clearance for all communicable diseases.
